Q: How do I care for my candle?

To get the most out of your candle follow the tips below for ultimate candle care:

  • Always remove the lid or duster (if you candle has one) before lighting.

  • Trim your wick to 1/8 inch before every use. This means you should trim your wick before lighting your candle every single time after the first burn.

  • Burn your candle for at least 2 - 3 hours especially the first burn to prevent tunneling. Don’t burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

  • Let your candle cool completely before touching or relighting (Tin candles get hot do not touch until wax is cool).

  • If your flame seems too big, snuff your wick, let the candle cool. Trim the wick and light again.

  • Keep wax pool clean of debris.

  • Burn on a flat, hard heat resistant surface.

  • Never move candle while lit or leave unattended.

  • Make sure candle is away from any flammables or draft.

  • Extinguish candle and stop use once 1/4 inch of wax is left in the candle. Do NOT leave candle burning until wax is gone. Glass can overheat and explode. Watch candle at all times.

Always keep candle out of reach of children and pets.
